Lets start with my name is Jinni James and I am a new up and coming author. I am a wife to a wonderful and very understanding husband which our one year anniversary is right around the corner and I am a mother to two precious girls who are 10 and 9 as well as a step mother to a pretty awesome 14 year old. I have a full time job where I work five days a week from 7:30 to 4:30 which keeps me pretty busy. I have no idea where I even found the time to write a book to be honest with you. I swear it’s like I went to bed and woke up with a novel with my name on it. lol. Actually, I just did what I could. It took me six to seven months to write my first novel and I thought that was pretty good until I realize some other authors who are knocking them out within a month or two however, I know I can’t compare myself to other authors I can just be jealous. lol.
So like I was saying, I just finished my first novel The Wolfs Maine and I am so incredibly happy with how it turned out. I got a lot of help and a lot of advice from fellow authors on self publishing so that is the road I decided that I wanted to take. So far it has been awesome. I found a fantastic person to design my cover and I could not be happier with it. I found a couple great editors and now I am just trying to get my name out there. This is a story I have been wanting to write for a very long time. I had the story in my head but I was not sure how to actually get it down on paper or on the screen I should say. I had writers block for years but finally the doors opened and I learned how to write my story. It is a story very near and dear to my heart and I am so happy I get to share it with the world. I will talk more about this book later in another post.
I actually just submitted it for some reviews. I am terribly nervous but that’s how you get your name out there right? I am also a blog guest on a fellow authors blog which should be up tomorrow. I’m excited and nervous at the same time. lol.
So that’s me in a nutshell for right now. Not a bad way to start off huh?
Thanks for reading. 🙂
